Color Dropper Tool not working properly anymore

I have been using Producer since 2006 and have NEVER had this problem. When using the
Color Dropper tool for text and I click on a color in an image, the color it picks up is totally different than the color I clicked on! I have the same monitor I used before but have a new whiz-bang gaming PC with two hard drives. The Solid State drive (C:) is where my Producer (latest version) program resides, as well as all my programs. But, I open Producer, work from and save shows onto my regular drive (D:). I am using the latest version of Producer, using Windows 10. I had used Windows 7 with no problems until I upgraded my PC. Can anyone help me?
