Style - hold endpoint
I have upgraded to PSG V4 and it has nice new features, styles being one of them. The one aspect of these (for example a five image montage expanding around the centre image) that I don't like is that there is no dwell at the end, so the images fly nicely into position, but even if the slide duration is extended, the viewer doesn't get much time to absorb the feature. Using it as the closing shows the disadvantage, but it is even worse if transitioning to another slide. One application where this is very important to me is in making memorial videos.
Short of trying to copy the steps in an existing style, is there any way to hold the end of the built-in style motion? (I am not going to buy PSP)
Thanks,
Reg

Re: Style - hold endpoint
Try this:
After you have created your style
Left Click on the "Copy" icon
A menu will pop up with several selections.....
Select: Copy End to the next slide (ALL Layers)
Then set the duration of the "next slide"
Basically what this does is create a new slide just after a style has ended and gives you a "frozen" version
of where the previously slide (Style) ended.
Hope this helps.

Texan:
I clicked on the slide on the timeline, but no sub-menu appeared. I'm not sure what you mean by "copy icon" Can you help me through this a bit more, it sounds exactly like what I'm trying to achieve.
Thanks,
Reg

Double click on the slide
Click on the effects Tab
On the left hand side of the display below the plus sign there are a group of small icons.......
Each has a different function
The top icon is the COPY icon...........LEFT click on it; you'll see a drop down menu
Pick copy End (All Layers) to the next slide

Wow! It works perfectly, thanks so much. There is so much new in PSG4 - I'm still getting used to it.
You've saved me a lot of grief,
Thanks again,
Reg
