Can anyone suggest...

Postby kcjacoby » Thu Sep 30, 2021 9:53 am

Hey everyone... new to the forum... not too new to Proshow, however I'm reaching a little above what I've experienced with my skills on PSP.

I am trying to edit some video... or maybe apply an effect to a video in PSP.

I found a quick example of what I'm looking for on a trailer online that I'll provide here...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0KXxwWa0OE

Is there a way to do this type of an effect to a photo... or a video in PSP? Instead of having slide of picture moving, then putting in a blank slide for a set amount of time, then again the photo while trying to match up where the movement of the photo / video is?

I'd love to get some advice on this.

Thanks!

Hi,
Are you familiar with modifiers?
If you are, then, you can use a modifier on opacity.
First you need to determine where/when in your video you want this effect to appear: Place one keyframe at the beginning of the effect, and one at its end.
Then go to: Effects - Adjustments
Right click on Opacity > Add Modifier
Right click again > Edit modifier
In the new window, go to:
Apply to > write the number of the keyframe where the effect begins.
Selected action settings > Type of action > Add to modifier
Amount from function > Sine wave
Wave begins at start of keyframe
Frequency: 2
Amplitude: 100

This is the simplest way to achieve this effect. You can play some more with the Frequency value if you wish to change the effect.
