Defeat Stone Vanguard To Obtain Sterness Of Stone
Sterness of Stone is one of the key items in Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong. You must collect this key item to progress toward the Yellow Wind Sage, the final boss in the Chapter.
Stone Vanguard, a Yaoguai King, is in the Fright Cliff area. After defeating the boss, it will drop the Sterness of Stone.
Players can travel fast from Valley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine to the boss’s area, head towards the rope bridge, and turn left at the end of the bridge.
Many enemies will try to block your path, but it’s up to you to defeat or avoid them and continue your journey.
After you reach the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine, take the left side path, where you will see a cluster of floating stones.
When you head towards the stone, the Stone Vanguard boss will appear. All the floating stones combine to form his body structure.
The Yaoguai King can generate shock waves while slamming its giant front arms down. Dodging from its initial attack, you can protect yourself from being defeated.
You can also summon another Yaoguai King, Shingdang, against Stone Vanguard. However, this is only possible if you have collected all Six Buddha Eyeballs.
Grab The Key Item
Before entering the Stone Vanguard area, you can interact with the large stone on the left if you have those six balls. The boss, Shingdang, will now tear off Stone Vanguard into small rock pieces.
Upon defeating the boss successfully, you can collect one of the significant key items, Sterness of Stone, in this chapter.
The Sterness of Stone is also essential for the first tally at the Crouching Tiger Temple and for opening the door in Sandgate Village.
