Once you turn in the Inscribed Ultimatum at the Temple of Chaos, you will unlock the next trial.
Reach The Chimeral Wetlands For Inscribed Ultimatum
To find the Chimeral Wetlands, head through the Ziggurat and Jungle areas. The path leading there is mostly straightforward, so you should not have trouble locating it.
Once inside, your goal is to find the Tyera, the specific trial where the Chimera boss resides. However, the zone layout is randomized, meaning the exact location of the Tyera will vary for each player.
For some, it could be near the middle-left section of the map, but you may need to explore thoroughly to uncover it.
Finding And Defeating The Chimera
The Chimera’s location is fixed, but reaching the boss takes some time. If you are struggling to locate the Chimera alone, consider using the social menu to join a group.
During the fight, watch out for the Chimera’s ice-breath attack, which leaves a frosty trail on the ground.
This attack slows you down while inflicting damage over time, so it is wise to equip an ice resistance charm to counter its effects.
Additionally, when the Chimera climbs onto a stone pillar, that is your opportunity to deal significant damage.
Obtaining The Inscribed Ultimatum
After defeating the Chimera, you will receive the Inscribed Ultimatum, the key item needed for the trial.
Remember that you cannot exit the Chaos Trial early; you must either finish the boss fight or die.
The Inscribed Ultimatum will be consumed once you complete the quest run. If you happen to leave the trial or drop the item in a regular zone, you can ask the NPC to give you another.
Finding The Temple Of Chaos
Once you have the Inscribed Ultimatum, stay within the Chimeral Wetlands and search for the Temple of Chaos.
For some, the temple entrance could be located in the top-right section of the map, but like the Tyera, its exact location is randomized.
The Temple of Chaos contains a waypoint, so be sure to activate it for easier access in the future.
