The PC Version of God of War Ragnarok has come up with several enhancements, including Accessibility Options, Controller Support, and Performance.
However, despite these improvements, players have noted some flaws they hoped would be addressed in the PC release, including the lack of an adjustable FOV and support for systems with only 4GB of VRAM.
God of War Ragnarok New Features And Enhancements
Following the massive success of God of War Ragnarok in consoles, Santa Monica Studio finally made its debut in Windows on September 19, 2024.
God of War Ragnarok PC Version has brought up some new settings that will help you customize how you play. Here are the few additions that players can find;
- Reduced puzzle hints option: Ascessed from the Settings tab, enabling this will reduce the frequency with which you hear puzzle hints from your companions.
- Cinematic Audio Description: You can find the setting in the “Audio Accessibility” menu. It plays audio descriptions of visual events during cinematics.
- Streamer alerts: The features alert you about New followers, subscribers, donations, and gifted subscriptions.
- Fan Kit: Provides various downloadable content, including Social Media Banners and wallpapers.

Apart from these new setting features, the PC Version of God of War Ragnarok also features multiple improvements, including Performance enhancement and Controller support.
God Of War Ragnarok Approach For Excluding FOV Leads To Fans’ Disappointment
Although all the new enhancements and setting options are included, players are still unsatisfied with the game.
The main reasons for player dissatisfaction seem to be the lack of a FOV adjustment setting and the unsupported 4GB VRAM.
When God of War Ragnarok was first released on consoles, it lacked a FOV adjustment option, leading players to anticipate its addition to the PC version.

Unfortunately, the PC version also lacks an FOV adjustment option, which prevents players from maintaining their character’s zooming ratio and frame rate.
If you are struggling due to a lack of a FOV slider, you might consider using third-party apps and mods to make better adjustments.
In the meantime, adjusting the resolution or aspect ratio could help create a wider view. If you have an ultra-wide monitor, you can use its settings to enhance your field of view.
