Bosses like Doryani serve as ultimate tests of skill, rewarding players with rich lore, powerful loot, materials, and skill gems residing in the Testing pit.
Location Of The Testing Pit In PoE 2
The testing pit, also called the site of Doryani’s greatest creation, is an area within the Black Chambers where players need to defeat Doryani in PoE 2.
Doryani, Royal Thaumaturge, is the final boss player to be encountered in Act 3 of PoE 2. Players must search for the Testing pit to begin the final Campaign battle.
Doryani keeps Alva prisoner in The Testing Pits in the Black Chambers, whom players will encounter during the Glory of the Vaal quest.
A large courtyard connected to a long bridge leads players into the Black Chambers. Doryani’s taunts and Alva’s pleading can be heard as players progress through the chambers.
Players will have to kill any enemies along the way until they find a large circular chamber, which is the Testing pit.
Doryani, Royal Thaumaturge: The Act 3 Final Boss
Players need to defeat Doryani to free Alva, but he will have his armory supporting him.
Although he has no weaknesses, he is resistant to fire and lightning, and cold damage will help players throughout the game.
There are two phases to the fight; in the First phase, Doryani floats around the arena, firing off lightning, lasers, and spouts of flame.
Players must avoid the cone of lasers that they fire out at a distance since it delays high damage even with high resistance.
Doryani will also activate the wheel at the center of the room, which rises up and fires lasers in random directions.
Players will need to find a safe spot when it turns and keep pace with it as it turns.
Doryani also drops glowing pylons into sockets in the ground. If you get too close to it, it fires up and sprays lightning damage around them. So you must avoid them.
In the Second Phase, once Doryani’s health drops below 50%, he’ll climb into his automaton titled Doryani’s Triumph, a massive robotic scorpion that he controls from atop it.
This weapon system features two arms emitting fire, cold, or lightning and a detachable backplate that rains destruction from above.
The rear capsule fires a battery of lasers, and the stinger detaches, floats, and randomly fires lasers during the clash.
It is best to actually stay close to Doryani, whether players are melee or ranged fighters.
Defeat The Boss In Final Phase
When Doryani is low on health, he summons a shield of electricity that fires out sparks in all directions.
Players can wait it out by staying inside the shield or using the highest-damage attacks.
After defeating Doryani’s Triumph, Alva escapes from her prison and tries to convince Doryani to help defeat the Beast.
Doorani then agrees and mentions a weapon part he has that can help fight against the beast, but players will need to find the other part.
After this, Act 3 comes to an end, and after entering the portal, players will be taken to cruel mode.
Players can also opt to return to the Ziggurat Encampment to hear everyone wrap up the storyline.
