Auction House In POE 2 Teased In Content Reveal Video

Grinding Gear Games developed and published Path of Exile 2, an action role-playing video game.

Auction House System Showcased In POE 2

Path of Exile 2 released an endgame content reveal video, showcasing many features already in the game as well as those planned for future updates.

The developers showcased a currency exchange interface, confirming the inclusion of an auction house in POE 2.

Currency exchange lets players trade certain items with others in an open market for a small gold fee.

Gold will serve as the main currency for trading in Path of Exile 2, with buyers covering the trade fees.

In the reveal video, players can access the auction house by interacting with Alva, a key NPC in the game.

This may change, as the showcase is not the final product and could be altered during deployment.

Developer’s View on Instant Buyouts

In an earlier interview, Jonathan Rogers, the game developer of Path of Exile 2, explained the importance of instant buyouts.

Other games in similar genres with auction houses impose a delay on trades to keep players invested in the game.

The game developer expresses his desire to change this system, find a solution to the problem, and implement instant buyouts.

This further confirms the speculation that POE 2 will have an auction house and will most likely feature instant buyouts.

All items in the game are freely tradable, and the game will not bind any item to a character, except gold.

The auction house could be introduced in the game’s beta launch, integrating the trading system into POE 2.
