Lookin' 4 some software - searchin' high n' low

Postby Bilseg47 » Sun Dec 28, 2008 1:32 pm

Hi, I'm new at this and am looking for a program that will allow me to make a simple 9 to 12 piece
Jigsaw puzzle from my photo and then have an "auto solve" function that will spin/float
pieces into place... AND (I don't want too much huh?) then let me capture that
auto save sequence into an .avi or other format that I can then put into a Photodex
ProShow Producer, or PowerPoint presentation...

I guess, if I could just find the software to make the puzzle pieces I could animate
them and reconstruct the finished puzzle in Producer myself huh?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Also search this forum -- there are a number of discussions about the puzzles (never seen one that would "auto-solve" though ).

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Hi, Thanks (to everyone so far) for the tips... As for "auto-solve", I got the idea from this option on Picturetrail.com

Check it out when you have time.

I use Brainsbreaker to make puzzles for playing -it has an auto solve. You could possible use a screen recoreder to record while using the auto solve function, then convert it to an avi if the recorder that you use does not support it. My recorder only saves to windows media, so would have to convert that.

You can get a puzzle maker at AvBros.com. The program is a plugin that works in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and Photopaint. It's highly rated and I found very easy to use. It's pretty darned good at what it does. You chose the puzzle size, the shape of the pieces, colors, etc.
