Import ipad video (.mov) to PSG 4.52

Postby daqddyo1 » Fri Jan 09, 2015 4:12 pm

I have tried to convert an iPad file to a video file that I can put into my windows PSG show but no such luck. I've tried NCH Pixilllion, Prism Video file converter. I don't know how to attach the file (about 125 k).
Any suggestions?

Hi

I think you should be able to just drag your MOV file straight into a slide as you would an image file. MOV files are supported although I'm not sure about your older version of PSG, I use producer.

Just like Carl, I think that you should be able to use mov files as they are, without any need for conversion. If you can't, then the problem is somewhere else.

I'm not sure of the menus, because I don't have Gold 4.52 installed, but try something similar to this (these are the menus of Producer 4.5)
Edit > Preferences > Playback > Video Importing >
Uncheck the option "Avoid Using DirectShow when possible"

Let us know if this made any difference for you.

Quite right :D
Why am I always assuming that everybody has everything they need on their computer, and their only problem has to do with ProShow?

Thanks to you all for your suggestions. I downloaded and installed Quicktime, deleted the video file from my laptop, then re-downloadedthe video from the ipad to my folder.
I dragged it into the QT shortcut and I was able to start it!!
I then was also able to drag it into my show, and is happy there as well.

So, it appears that your suggestions had a transformative and successful effect on my laptop.
