One more way to sync the music
There's a newly-posted short article on ProShowThink that adds another tool to your arsenal, this one to help find the basic slide-plus-transition duration that's in sync with the music. Anything to ease the pain, right?

Re: One more way to sync the music
Very nice (I have done something very similar many times for a short segment then I can set the ones I want as needed). As soon as I saw "Trying to sync slides with music is a fiddly affair, particularly since we’re easily distracted by our pretty pictures and fancy transitions. " I knew it was your article ... and yes, we get mesmerized watching our wonderful pictures go by and forget to work on the timing

Re: One more way to sync the music
Even when actually paying close attention, I have a hard time figuring out if the next slide is coming in too soon or too late. It's so much easier if pure color pops in and out. Color is so very basic and totally in your face, and if it doesn't hit directly on the beat, you know it instantly and you know if it's dawdling or rushing.
