Playing Your Photodex Hosted Shows From Your Own Web Site
Re: Playing Your Photodex Hosted Shows From Your Own Web Site
Well Mike, that tip you provided for the playback resolution setting in the show preferences worked perfectly. I finally have a hi-res view of my show during playback. As for the "large screen" edit requirement of 1024 height, I guess I can live with it since the edit window and image on the Studio 17 under the small size setting are about the same size as the "large" setting on my old 15" laptop. I'll put in a plea with Photodex to provide a large edit screen suitable for 1600 x 900 which seems to be fairly common for laptops.
Thanks a bunch. You've saved me from some headaches once again.

Looks great! Will people viewing a show of this sort have to install Presenter or will it just automatically play?

They will still need to have Presenter installed.

They will be prompted to allow the Presenter plugin to install if this is their first Presenter show.

Hi Mike,
I went to the link on the first post which was an illustration on your site.
When I went there it took 8 minutes and 31seconds to download. Check out Video Web Wizard.
I use it and highly recommend it.

Joe:
Maybe Photodex's server was a bit slow when you tried, but most of the time the show I linked to buffers to 100% within a minute on a modest cable connection. Could be slower on DSL, or even worse on dialup.
The product you mentioned might be okay for some, but the whole purpose of this thread is to be able to have the highest quality possible without using third party applications.

Many web hosting sites do not allow video streaming without paying for a premium plan. Through the magic of Photodex, their video playback is not the same as video streaming and can be used on virtually any web site under a basic plan (assuming your bandwidth plan is sufficient for your web traffic).
