Audacity tutorial

Postby Rosemary » Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:22 pm

Hi Everyone,

I received this video tutorial on using Audacity. I have the author's permission to post it on this forum. I hope it is of use to some of us newbies!!!

Hi Rosemary,

This time let's take a look at some basic Audio Editing.
Audio editing, by the way, is the process of taking recorded sound
and changing it directly on the recording medium (analog) or on a
computer disk (Digital).

Once again, we'll show some basic edits using the free tool Audacity.

You can download Audacity at:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Audacity was created by Dominic Mazzoni while he was a graduate
student at Carnegie Mellon University. Dominic Mazzoni now works at
Google, but is still the main developer and maintainer of Audacity,
with help from many others around the world.
As of 13 May 2008, it was the 9th most popular download from
SourceForge.net, with over 40 million downloads.
