free software for capture dv (hd camcorder)
At first sorry for my bad english.
I´m planning use proshow gold for create shows with video from a hd camcorder with mini dv tapes. i dont know which is the format of files create by camcorder (i think mpeg but not sure). then i buy a pci express card with firewire ports and ieee1394 port and i put it in the pc. But now i need a simple FREE software for capture the scenes recorded with the camcorder and after use this scenes in psg.
Anybody can advise me a software for that?

Check out this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/video/capture-dv.htm
I have used the free version of Scenalyzer for years in the past with very good results. I have not tried the latest version, but in the past, it worked very well. The link above also discusses some of the issues.

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
mikey (PSP6, Photoshop CS6, Vegas Pro 14, Acid 7, BluffTitler, Nikon D300s, D810)
Lots of PIC and Arduino microprocessor stuff too !!
