SD and Widescreen exports of same show?
Hi, I have ProShow Gold 7. Is it possible to easily export a show as both SD and Widescreen? Thanks!
Re: SD and Widescreen exports of same show?
Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I assume that by SD you mean a 4x3 show, correct?
Basically you would need to make 2 shows, and to render each one separately.
If you don't want to work too hard, then make one show only, in whatever aspect ratio you want, but make sure that you use only slide styles and only transitions that are marked as working for ANY Aspect Ratio. Save your show.
Then open your show again, and change the aspect ratio in Show Options > Show Settings > Show Aspect Ratio.
Save your show with a different name.
As I said before, you would need to render each one separately.

Yes, by SD I meant 4x3. That's great news! I was hoping I wouldn't have to create an entirely separate show.

Is there a way to view all the transitions at once that are workable for any aspect ratio?
Re: SD and Widescreen exports of same show?
Seems to me that all the transitions that are available for Gold and that are not grayed out, are for ANY aspect ratio.
Sorry for not thinking about this sooner.

Oh -- I just tried to export as WIDESCREEN, but it won't export. I am trying to export widescreen to a DVD, not Blue-Ray. I thought the program would just letterbox the video and keep the widescreen on a 4x3 DVD, but perhaps this not possible?
Re: SD and Widescreen exports of same show?
I'm afraid that I lost you.
I don't understand what you are trying to do anymore.
I thought that you are trying to put two shows on the same DVD: one for widescreen and one for SD.
For this, you need to create and to render to video, two shows, as explained in my previous post.
You then need to create a single DVD which has a menu with two thumbnails - one for each show - and each show has a different name. One show is called for example "Show Widescreen", and the other is called "Show SD".
Both shows are being added to the same DVD, at the same time.
If you need to create a DVD for each format, then make a menu for a single show, with a single thumbnail.
I won't be able to help further for now. We are having a major holiday over here.
