File Types

Postby johnny » Fri May 30, 2014 3:57 pm

I'm about to publish my slideshow, but I'm trying to figure out which option is ideal for watching it on my computer, and then copying it to a flash drive and showing it on my laptop.

What's the difference between an AVI file using MPEG-4 Simple Profile Compression and an MPEG-4 file using H.264/AVC compression? Or an MPEG-4 file using high profile, high bit rate H.264/AVC compression?

I've looked through the user manual, but it doesn't get into the distinctions between these. Does anyone know the differences?

Thank you for your help.

Ho John,

I have always gone for standard MP4 as it plays well, resolution is good and plays well on pc and apple.

You will soon get a more technical and useful response to benefit all of us.

Watch the entry below mine.
regards.

PD,

Thank you for your response. Would that standard MP4 simple file compression be the AVI file that I mentioned at the start of my list of options?
