You don't edit slides in Photoshop, but rather, the layers of the slide.
So, double click on your slide in the Slide List, to get to Slide Options.
RIGHT CLICK on the layer that you want , and in the menu that opens choose Edit Layer > Open in External Editor
The first time that you do this, ProShow will ask you define your Editor - in your case, Photoshop
You will have to direct ProShow to the directory where Photoshop is installed, and to double click on the exe file that activates the program - Photoshop.exe.
From now on, whenever you need to edit a picture, ProShow will automatically open Photoshop for you.
