Under Executable, image quality
When creating a slide show to burn on a DVD, I've often wondered if I should change, under Executable, the image quality from 85% to 100%. Any thoughts/

Re: Under Executable, image quality
In general, yes.
As understand it, that setting controls the compression level (just like JPEG) applied and unless you needed a way to end up with a smaller EXE file, you'd want it at 100%. In many cases the difference might not be noticeable but I'd use the max quality (lowest compression level) supported.

In the manual (page 542) the advice is to leave the quality settings at the default. Increasing it puts extra pressure on the processor at playback time.
The best way is to try it at both and see if you spot any quality difference or any playback performance hits (particulalrly on any slides with lots of activity).
Note: the default values assigned here are considered to be the best blend
between overall quality and performance of the show. It's recommended
that you use the defaults unless you have a specific reason to change the
values.
