Colleen-

Quickly looking through your page, the html on your page looks fine. My first thought is it has to be something you haven't uploaded.

If you have this show uploaded in a separate folder, make sure the following two files are in this same folder (otherwise you'll need to type in the path of where they are on your server into the html.)

swfobject.js
mediaplayer.swf (MIGHT have player.swf & this could be the problem)

One thing that is curious... when you added this plugin to your program, did it include the download for the player & the other files? Did you have the option to "name" the player in the webbuilder program when creating the page? The reason I'm wondering is, the player that comes with the original software is named "player.swf" and in the script the "mediaplayer.swf" is more or less a placeholder for you to change the file name. It could be your software program/plugin provides their own file and has indeed renamed the player to mediaplayer.swf & if so, the script would work. If not, this is where the error is.

See what you have uploaded on your site and if one of these two files (or the mediaplayer.swf vs player.swf issue) was what you were missing. Let me know!

Jan -

No, it wasn't done with VideoJukebox. This is using the FREE software that I referenced in one of my posts above.

http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=JW_FLV_Media_Player

Colleen's web editor program provides the same program as a plugin -- only they've changed the interface to provide buttons/choices to choose colors, etc. so you don't have to hand code everything. The program she uses would make it much easier.

In my sample I used the original software downloaded from the link above. It takes a lot of html hand coding, but colors and size are completely configurable. You can make it any size/color you want; multiplayer or single player. You can set it to buffer for any amount of time (worked great to give the two real shows on my sample a 10 second buffer). Pretty much unlimited as to what you want it to do or what you want it to look like.

Just a little FYI. I wanted to let you know that with my web builder you can also customize appearence(buttons), colors, and behavior (autostart, buffer, width & height, etc.). I have not had time to work again with it maybe tomorrow.

I wanted to throw another one at you Diana http://www.fameid.com/menu/index.php?op ... &Itemid=19 . Check out the frame ID menu. It states that it free. I would love to add this to my webpage. Maybe, someday....

Colleen-

Checked it out. That is a pretty cool menu. I had to bite my fingers to keep myself from downloading & trying. It says xml (sigh... guess I'm going to have to learn it!). I bookmarked the site to come back to at some later point... I love distractions & challenges and this looked like another one that could eat up a day or two!

So, for now, I'm not going to even download it & play. It might be some program that you just point & click & choose (it says easy & no programming needed), but if not, I'd be off in my little oblivion world for another couple of days. :D

Let me know the results when you've had a chance to re-check your player page.

Diana and Jan and anyone else that was following this thread,

I wanted to let you know that I have gotten so far nowhere on the flash issue. According to my web builder, I am doing everything correct and it may be a issue with my host. I have an email in to them but I have wanted to change for some time so we will see.

The thing I really wanted to share with you was I have a image menu that I was playing with. It will eventually have links to shows but right now I was just playing. I wanted to show it to you guys.

Looking to see if it looks good for you and loads fast, etc.

Thanks,

Colleen

Colleen...

You just HAD to go and post that link, didn't you? :D

I'm afraid I lied in my last post. A couple of hours later I went ahead and downloaded that menu program simply because *sometimes* a site will be there & the next time you try to go back from its bookmark, *poof* it's gone. I was interested enough in investigating its menu capabilities that I wanted to make sure I had a copy of it on my hard drive to return to sometime in the future.

After seeing your menu sample, I doubt I will be able to resist installing & experimenting.

The menu looks clean/sharp and loaded immediately. I like it! Great job!
