Outbox
Ok, when stuff is in my outbox and not the sentbox, have they actually been sent. I have about five that I have sent but they are sitting in the outbox. Help???

Nope.
The server hasn't accepted the item or your client hasn't been able to upload which is roughly the same. Could be that the mail server is down or at least inaccessible. You can probably go to the whatever service you are using via a Web interface and see if 1) they have problems reported and 2) whether you can access your mail box that way.
Lastly, if you're using Outlook there should be an error message showing up when it attempts to send the items and that fails--that's what I've seen anyway.

If you're referring the boxes for Private Messages on this forum, the Outbox is for messages that have not been read by the recipient. Once they open up the message it appears in the Sent box. It's a nice way to know if your message has been read.

Thanks for that. I had puzzled over that.
Now that is a good way of knowing that someones got it.
