VIP guest at Labour Day party...

Postby Tarafrost » Mon Sep 03, 2007 11:58 am

Dana and I had a corn roast and deep-fried turkey (yum!) yesterday evening for some friends, which also included Mary and Werner, the owners of Bear Creek Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary. They brought a special guest, which made for a very fun evening, even if he did trash all our day lillies in the process...

His name is Caramel, and he's a 2 month old bengal tiger cub.

Here he is walking down our laneway, like he owns the place.

And getting belly rubs from my wife, Dana (on the left) and our neighbour's 15-year old daughter, Emma.

Hope you had a good Labour Day weekend. We sure did! ;-)

That's too cool!

Look at the size of the paws on that puppy!

Would have loved some of that turkey.

For Labor Day I went to Tucson and served lunch at a homeless shelter.

He's standing in the background, where else?

Very good !!

Reminds me -- last year, we were waiting to catch the ferry across
Puget Sound and the State Patrol was walking their K-9 units up and
down between the rows of parked cars. I figured he had probably
heard most of the usual smart comments but I got him laughing
when I asked as he walked the dog past our car "checking for cats?"
He thought that was pretty funny (I assume the dog is checking for
firearms (or at least some sort of explosives)).
