How to center or shrink the SHOW?

Postby billharden » Fri Aug 10, 2007 2:35 pm

Hi folks,
Can you kind people tell me how to center or shrink my slideshows so they fit without having to use the slider bar? If you want to see an example of my problem and what I talking about please go to www.NorthwoodVillas.net or www.NorthridgeGardens.net. Thank you all very much. BTW any other creative advise is appreciated.
Regards
Bill Harden :D

Bill, are you using a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio ?? It looks like 16:9 and it may
simply be that presenter doesn't know what to do with it. Maybe others have
a better interpretation, but that would be my first guess.

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Bill,

I'm no expert in this ...... but I think if you can edit your HTML code for your website, you can make the presenter a little smaller. Right now I believe it's 640 x 480. Try making it smaller and see what happens ....

Thanks guys,
That was easy, I'm running it at 480 x 480. It fits now.

Bill
I have just had a look at both your links. It still shows with sidebars for me.

I'm no web guru, but it looks like the page size to me, or the amount of space (frame) that you have given Presenter to fit in.

Maybe you haven't uploaded your change yet.

Yep - I still see the black top/bottom bars and a slider along the
bottom that I have to move to center the show when it is playing.
I think you need to define the window in the html the same size
as the show (or at least the same aspect ratio). It looks like the
window for the show needs to be maybe 10% wider and maybe
25% shorter (although the height is not as critical since it does
include the full height of the show).

Shrinking shows

Thanks Guys,
I'll check it out. I'm sitting an open house today without a web connection. Going through withdrawals. I'm bringing some tutorials that I rented from Smartflix. The new tutorial for Adobe Illustrator CS3 is pretty good if you need to brush up on your artwork.
Thanks for the advise, and thanks for any critiques on my sites.
