Which to choose...
Currently own PSG 2.5 and was wondering...
id love to purchase the new producer, an amazing product, and great features...
i can though purchase the good ol PSG 3.0 but i am missing on...
1. making the captions move when i want it to...
2. timing the layering parts...
3. colorizing...
amazing software, yet a little too harsh on the budget...
so,
1. is there a way to establish two out of three of these by 'cheating' the psg into doing such?
2. is there another program similar to our beloved PS software? nope.adobe not for me...
Thanks guys.
$250 clams is a hard sell for me... =(

Well, if you own Gold 2.5, you have owned it for a while.
Have you checked out their (dis) Loyalty page where they
show what it would have cost the loyal customers if they
had waited instead of buying their nonsense about "Save
$100 now" back in December (I got stiffed by them for
$300). Check it out at
http://www.photodex.com/purchase/loyalty.html
If you have owned PSG for more than 2 years, it is
only $99 to "upgrade" to the new beta version (they
won't admit it is that though) of Producer.

Re: Which to choose...
You can create your captions as PNG files in Phtoshop or other program which can produce transparency then make them any size or shape or move them just as you would any other file on a separate layer in PSG 3.0.
You could also use a different and much less expensive product which has features and abilities not found in PSG and some which are not found in PSP either to do the same. What you would give up is the ability to drop in AVI movie clips and what you would gain is much greater image quality, much smoother pans, zooms, scrolls, etc.
Best regards,
Lin
