Hi Sharon,
You don't give us a whole lot to go on there. Here is an older thread that might shed light. http://itsmygallery.com/ProShow/viewtopic.php?t=1330
The "Presenter" program can be contrary at times. Are you trying to view at various times of the day? Are you waiting for the show to dowload before clicking to play?
Do you have a high speed internet connection, forget dial-up to view shows. You might try unistalling and re-install the Presenter program.
Maybe someone else will have other tips for you, hang in there.

Sharon,
I am not sure that disabling your firewall is a good idea. You need your firewall to keep out all kinds of potential dangers. When you say disabled, do you mean turned it off, or to check an allowance for Photodex and the Presenter program in your anti-virus software. I would never browse the internet or any other network connection without some sort of firewall in place.

PS: I am glad you can view the shows though! :)
