Anyone Registering Shows with eCO?
I started registering almost all of my photos with the US Electronic Copyright Office (eCO) near the end of 2012. The process is pretty clean and it gives me a lot of piece of mind. Is anyone else doing this and, if so, are you filing your slideshows with them? If not, is anyone registering show independently?
I'm think that since the photos are registered the slideshows would be be just derivative works and the work would be mostly covered already.
Thoughts on this?

Nothing to do with your question...
I clicked on the link to your site, and this was the address instead of the initial URL: http://www.balanike.com/forad.html?id=4 ... ce%20quote
Then I noticed the name of the page: "Cheap Nike shoes online."
You probably ought to look into these things.

Yes Barb
I'm with you, I did a copy and paste of the actual URL he has listed for his site and I get the correct site in my browser. BUT, If I just click on the link provided, I am redirected to the Nike shoe site.
Regarding the eCO site and registering photos, I read (skimmed) the info and saw where there was a $35 fee associated with registering your work(s). If that is a per photo fee it could get expensive real fast. I am not sure I have taken a photo that I would care to register but I am interested in knowing more about how it works. Is it that expensive per photo to register?

The fee for registering is $35/submission, but there is no limit for the number of images that can be submitted at that time, but they must all be in the same year and all the images submitted together must all be published or unpublished works. I have submitted 10K+ images at one time (1 year's worth).
I have that cost of submission accounted for into my prices.

So, I clicked on the link at it did it for me, too, but then I couldn't get it to do it again and my browser history doesn't show those links at all.
Very curious.

I found the link in my browser history (that is good). If anyone else is reading this, can you click on the top link in my signature to see if you are being redirected correctly?

It goes to your web site, but the URL is http://www.balanike.com/forad.html?id=4 ... 20attorney
Also, the page is still titled for Nike shoes.
Looking at the URL, it appears that either you're with a less-than-desirable host or your site has been hacked in some peculiar way. You might want to contact your host concerning this.

Re: Anyone Registering Shows with eCO?
Thank you Barbara. I expect it is something on my site that is there unintentionally. But I can't seem to get it to do it again.
Re: Anyone Registering Shows with eCO?
I thought I'd cleared my cache, but apparently not. I just did so, clicked your link, and everything was as it ought to be. You can sigh with relief.

It isn't happening. Whatever you did has sent the strangeness back where it came from.
