Donor

Postby Dieter » Wed Apr 02, 2014 11:05 pm

Hello,

at some names I see Donor in different colors.
Can someone tell me what's that mean?

Best regards Dieter

I think only the "Wizard behind the Curtain" knows that answer and he's not talking.

unless you bring him the broom of the wicked witch . . . . . . oh wait.

I don't know

Joe

PS if you donate to the forum, you get a donor icon, but I don't know what the colors mean.

I wish I had an elaborate story on what the colors mean, but I don't. :D

The colors are simply randomly generated when a member's rank is changed to "Donor". It seems orange is pretty prevalent, with yellow and red being less common. Not sure what's happening there, but the main thing is that when a "Donor" icon is attached to a member's profile I'm very appreciative no matter the color.

Cool.

Mike, while I have your attention, is there some way to make that "Last visit was:" notation in the upper right corner update properly? I haven't found it yet. It seems like a waste of space if it's not going to update. Right now it says my last visit was Mar 29, 2014.

Joe:

The last visited date is when you last had to login to the site. If you're like me and don't physically "logout" after each visit it will not change the date. Mine shows February 17th, even though I've been visiting the site on a daily basis since then.

The same goes for "View New Posts". That list will continue to grow until you logout and then log back in. It's a cookie thing.
