SET YOUR CAMERA CLOCKS !!!

Postby gpsmikey » Thu Mar 13, 2014 9:27 pm

Time for the reminder for those that observe daylight savings time - I just shot myself in the foot geotagging a whole bunch of images from earlier this week - the GPS track was correct for DST, HOWEVER, I forgot to set the camera to DST an as such all the images were geotagged with where I had been exactly an hour earlier. Impressive, but hardly helpful. SET those clocks !! :D

Thanks for the reminder! I just went to check and discovered that I hadn't changed it back from my trip 2 weeks ago. Rather than fiddle with time zones, I usually just change the times to the current time where I am.

Hello Terry,

And THANKS Mike for the brain infusion. I too forgot to do this. With today's electronics, a lot of automation is taken for granted. The camera and the house thermostat for example. Thanks for the brain jolt !
