I posted the same thing up in the Producer "General" section, so now all we need is for someone to post it in the Gold section so we have all the bases covered! :D

One of the cool new features I like is the "volume control points" where you can tell the volume what to do along the timeline. Great for those situations where you want to keep it down over several slides or whatever for narration.

I just finished going through Photodex's page where they highlight the big changes, and all I can say is that they must have been so excited about getting the page out there that they didn't test how things looked in various browsers. It's a bit of a mess in Firefox.

Yeah, started down the page and was wondering "what is Barbara talking about" then got to the part where text was stamped over top of the images etc. Oh, now I see what she was talking about. The good news is it is in time for those last minute Christmas shows everybody has yet to start on that have to be done next week (why change now?)

Which reminds me to remind everyone who's chomping at the bit to upgrade: Install version 6 to a folder separate from version 5 or whatever you're using so you aren't trying to learn new stuff while also trying to get a show completed. Opening an older version show in 6 won't do any harm to the show, but it's certainly easier to be on totally familiar ground when you're working on a deadline.

Don, I'm so lovesick because of captions that it's a wonder my dreams don't have subtitles.

Here's a good little tutorial on using the new Volume Control Points:

Hi,
One feature I felt I needed was a much easier way to post my shows on a iPhone. Well I did download the Proshow Remote app and followed the on screen prompts. Boy am I impressed! It took me probably less than 5 minutes to get the app up and running. I finally was able to download a show without going through the plug in. It was pretty easy.

I am going to report a possible bug to Photodex. It seems the iPhone show loses the first few seconds of sounds. Otherwise a very nice PSP6 feature.

I had not noticed the lost first few seconds when I was testing it, but I tend to start the sound a few seconds in on my shows. Definitely report that to the Photodex folks.

Hello Barbara,
BarbaraC wrote:It's a bit of a mess in Firefox.

What do you mean ? Because my usual browser is Firefox and since I have installed Producer V6, with its associated plugin Presenter, I can't read anymore a show (px format) on the site of Photodex. Firefox tells me that the plugin Photodex Presenter has crashed. I tried with IE11 and one time it works, another time it crashes !

I was talking about the mess on Photodex's web page, not anything to do with Presenter. Your troubles are an entirely different issue and can be caused by a variety of things, one of which may be a bad installation of Presenter. What you might try is uninstalling it and then going out to Photodex to download it and give it a fresh install.
