Mike, I like the now look.

Postby midiboy » Thu Oct 17, 2013 11:45 pm

I like the change in scenery. It's easy on my eyes and just pleasing to log on to. Thanks for the present and up coming updates to the forum.

Yes, I am one of those that doesn't post much, but I do learn from the pros here. So, I hope you will not delete me.

Thanks for all that you do.

You are greatly appreciated by all.

Is anyone else having trouble with getting a right click to work in the forum? It works for me everywhere else, but not here. :|

The right-click disabling was part of the new software update. Some digging around enabled me to remove it from the code so you should have right-click functionality again.

Included with the changes is a mobile version for those of you that like to catch up with the forum on the go. It's stripped down to make loading easier, but has pretty much all the same functions as the full site. The biggest difference will be cosmetic.

Everything's still a work in progress as time permits. :D

Here's something else that doesn't seem to be working the same. If I want to view new posts only since my last visit, I still get a long list of threads on the screen - one whole page worth. I've visited the threads since before that so it seems like those threads shouldn't be showing up as having new posts.

The "View New Posts" feature hasn't changed. There's a default timeframe that posts will continue to show up in that list. They will fall off as time goes on. The posts marked in red will be the ones you haven't viewed yet.

Mike, I think I must be losing it. I'm looking to donate again but can't seem to find a button or icon for that purpose. How do I do it?

Hobler, look at the VERY bottom of the screen. There's this little yellow button with the words "Make A Donation" ... click on that.

Dontcha hate it when that happens?

I went looking for the coffee cup I'd put down earlier ... danged if I couldn't find the darned thing. But, there it was in plain sight when I finally saw it.

In plane site! Aye new then that Ida ben sitting at the computer four way two long. I was do four a brake ... or maybe kneaded some exercise, like arm curls with some 16 ounzer's (Sam Adams). :D

Mike

Are the posts "marked in red" the ones with the teeny, tiny, itsy bitsy red circled arrows over on the left side? :D If they are, would it be possible to make those arrows a little bit bigger so they are an easier target to click on? These old eyes of mine are not getting better with age :(

And the same request for the arrows on the right side next to the posters name.

Joe

PS so far I like the new layout too

Joe, the title for a thread that's either new or contains a new post in it is red on my screen.
