New projector
I know this is somewhat off topic, but I also know some of you may project your shows for audiences, be it friends and family or otherwise.
Canon has a new series of projectors that just came out recently. The Canon LE-5W is a nice projector that does not cost an arm and a leg. The LE-5W has an LED light source that will last 20,000 hours, yes that's right. The LED's would probably outlast the projector. The projector has 1280x800 resolution which is quite good for my most uses. You can insert an SD card or a flashdrive (thumbdrive) into the projector instead of having to use a laptop computer to present your show and it has its own 1.5gig memory. I have found the projector at one website for $700.00.

Re: New projector
I haven't had the need for a projector but have you looked at the potential for using a Pico type projector? They're allegedly not as bright as bulb projectors though. The technology looked interesting when these first came out. Now that there are more to choose from I'd bet they're better than the first ones that came on the market. I've just not taken the time to see them in person but am still curious about them. The cost is not bad and no bulbs to replace. But maybe the picture isn't as good as one might like.

B&H PhotoVideo says the Canon LE-5W isn't available until 09-2-13 but can be pre-ordered.
