Looking for advice on new printer (Canon Pro-100..?)
Hi,
I am in the market for a new printer. I have a canon IP6700D which does nice prints, but is unable to print to Taiyo Yuden DVD's without leaving marks down each side. I was thinking of an Epson, but I have no experience with Epson. Looked at the Canon Pro-100 as well as the Epson Artisan 730 and 837 (all in one printers). I am leaning towards the Canon Pro-100, but just wondering if anyone has used this with the TY discs. I don't want to buy it to find out it leaves scratch marks down both sides. Any advice? I was looking at the all in one, but am worried it will lack in the printer end.
Thanks
Charlotte

Charlotte,
I have HP Photosmar D7560 - (bought in 2010) - does great job on TY DVD.
Unfortunately this advice will not be too usefull for you - because it is older model, not available any more in regular stores.
What I would advise - go to Websites like Amazon or Newegg, which has users remarks about products
and check, what people are saying about printer, you are thinking about.
Look for comments about most important feature - in your case it looks it is: "printing on DVD".
Hope this will help,
Astra/Alex

Hello,
I have the Canon MG 8220. I purchased it for the high resolution scanner properties and print quality. I just finished producing about 25 printed CD and DVDs and the results are perfect.

Thanks,
