I used the Adobe reader which I already had plus something called 'Cute PDF" I am still trying it because when I used it earlier I just changed a letter I had written now I am going to scan some papers and see if it works. I used this as it was FREE. If it still does not do what I am wanting I may have to get my son (Mothers Day is near) to buy me one that will work. :D

I am still stumped, I can't work out how to scan pages and make them as one document so i can convert them into PDF
I did a test earlier using a letter that I had written and it worked out fine as it was already one long document. But I have tried using various other documents that are individual and can't seem to get them into one. So sorry all I am not quite there yet. :(

Well, two recommendations. I have used Paperport - it came with a Dell Printer/Scanner and can be purchased for $99 OR look at the PDFCreator link again - http://www.pdfforge.org/download - and it says it does the same thing (merges files) for free.

It is in the pdfarchitect free download.

For additional ideas and recommendations GOOGLE "scan multiple pages into pdf"

I found a number of solutions doing the above.

This is worth looking into, "http://crea7or.spb.ru/cs2.html".
It is from message 49 (second page) on this adobe page, "http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930?start=0&tstart=0"

OK everyone here is what has happened. I think I told you I have windows 7 Ulimate - 64 bit with MS Office 2010 well it seems Adobe Acrobat 8 is so old it does not work well with this combination, unless you know a lot about computers which I don't it is no longer an option for me and buying a new version is no longer an option either not over here or online I don't think. It costs over here $399.00 NZ which is 342.00 US so I shall table it for now. Will keep looking at other options. Again thanks for the help and for letting me use this area to ask for that help.
