Re: JAVA
Well . . . I just updated my Firefox browser to the latest build (18.0.1) and once again the add-on manager says: "the Java Plugin 7 update 11 and lower (click-to-play), Windows has been blocked for your protection".
I did some internet research and it looks like Oracle has not "fully" patched their security issue yet:

I think Barbara is right, Java is a pain

Re: JAVA
Some years back, I believe it was automatically installed with Windows, or at least it sat there ready to be installed. I never quite understood what the devil it was doing there at all. So far, I haven't a trace of it on this machine, and I'm quite happy about it. It's really pathetic that there are those who can't find positive things to do with their lives, preferring to create negative things in other people's lives. Genius, perhaps, but totally sub-human.

Re: JAVA
Well . . . it looks like Oracle has issued a new Java update as of January 19th to patch the vulnerability issue. I downloaded this latest update (version 7, update 13) and now my internet browsers are no longer blocking the Java add-on.

Re: JAVA
Java not being on my computer, I'm glad I don't have to bother, but I wonder what the idiots out there will attack next.
