"On Storytelling"

Postby debngar » Thu Oct 13, 2011 7:49 am

Saw this shared today on Google Plus. Thought the message was good to share here too for the creative types out there. :D

Side note: Video was made in 3 days in Illustrator and After Effects. (Not advocating people try doing it in Producer.)

Another good video :)

There's a lot of talented people here that haven't "put in their time" yet. I hope they watch the video and it inspires them to keep at it.

Joe,

I see potential too and over relying on automatic features min Pro Show can't make up for lack of telling a good story. It's useful to experiment, dissect a slide to see how/why it works. I also wish I could come up with more stories as when I run out of them, my own shows can bore me and I have a tough time finishing them!

Thankfully there is lots of creative stuff being shared on the web that can help inspire artists and helps make up for the bad TV programming these days! LOL

I can often find benefit from viewing other shows - newbie or not. I can be inspired to create offshoots from that - it gets my creative spark going. :D

Thanks for the link. I'm a newbie to Proshow but still try to be creative - I'll keep going, improve and keep trying out new ideas.

I'm getting there - slowly

Thanks Debbie!

Your intuitiveness is spot on and this is so relative to this creative venue. Another good find from G+, I'll have to explore g+ more, but my my understanding is its all about networking? The message so taken to heart, the more I learn the more I yearn to learn more. It can be disheartening to come across a post and be totally clueless on what the question and subsequent answer is about. Its a good check point for me to know the road might be a bit longer. The visions havent equaled the end results so far, but the fun part is that I'm still in the fight!

Hi Greg,

If you enjoy discovering/seeing talented artists/photographers/writers and learning, you can find many groups of people that share their own work and others that cross share it to spread it around. You don't need a private invite anymore because it's public. It's not just about those categories though, there are many more than just the arts. Create a profile, start posting, commenting and hang out.

Please understand, my purpose isn't to take people away from the forum, just sharing neat artful related finds on G+ as a means to expand and enrich what we do here, how it relates to ProShow and try to share some inspirational stuff so users can expand their ideas. :D
