Very proffesional demo Jan! Very nicely put together. If I had any wedding pictures I'd lend them to you...I don't have any to lend though. :(

Jan:

How great to see a creative artist reach out to the public with a skill and sensitivity like yours. Many will be able to relive memories and keep those precious photos safe. Is it posted at this point? You used one phrase that seemed unusual to me -- "create you". I stopped and read it and decided it might be a way of speaking in your area. I wondered why you had the "you" in there. Down here in Florida the locals certainly put words together in unusual ways. That's the bane of being a retired college professor -- too picky for my own good. Now if I could only be that way with my PSP creations I'd be so much better off. By the way, the score is just great. Did you create it yourself? Now that I've begun using Magix I seem to hear those snippets in various places, or at least I think I do. Our own Social Security Administration uses a musical selection created with the program and we have to listen to it go on endlessly while waiting to speak to somone. Yours is great and whoever created it, you used it very well. I hope that people realize what a special service you offer and flock to your site.

Not yet, but my web designer knows it is ready.

Funny I didn't think it was odd until you mentioned it, but you are right it should probably "create the best possible results for you". I think I will try and fix that this weekend. Nice catch!!

Good old royalty free Digital Juice - Intro is called " A Pair of Nylons" and the show is "At the Mall"

Me too! I really want to retire and just play with this stuff all day!! So far I have actually had 4 paying clients and I have done some for friends that also creates advertising to a certain degree...
Thanks so much for watching Bob and Iris

Thanks Bob, all due to watching what you create and your awesome mentorship. I love Akvis and Lucas. So glad that I bought them. I am learning tons about photoshop. Not just adding a plug in effect, but using layers, level adjustments etc. Hope all is well with you too! hugs Jan

Hi Nannybear,

I think you have a really nicely designed demo. The video elements were just the right touch, not too much. I also liked the pick of music. I think I might have seen a caption or two that jumped on the screen a bit quickly though. Maybe it was set to "none" when you may have meant to make it a fade-in or something?

As a sidebar to your question in the "Business Applications" and where to get wedding pic images.... here is a thought.

You might try craigslist in your area to find photographers who might want to work with you. I think many of those who post there are just starting out and might be interested in the exposure, (no pun intended). The only thing is that sometimes they say not to contact them if you are not an actual potential client if you're doing it via craigslist. If that's the case, try contacting them through their website if they post a link to that. In fact, that might be even better, since it should give you a way to check out the quality of their shots, their style, etc and whether it would work for you.

Thanks Deb,
Actually, Shaz and Neville have sent me pics that I may use with permission to create the demo show so I am starting on that now. I didn't know about Craig's list ( is it in Canada?) but will check that out. If you can tell me what captions I will go back and check that out. Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for watching! hugs Jan

Jan,

Craigslist is international. It's free to post there unless you're advertising that you're looking for an employee. That's how they make their money.

I've posted several ads for our "hardware store for sale" and put a link to the show on YouTube in the ad. The hits on that show in YouTube immediately went up so I know there is some kind of interest, just not sure who exactly. The nice thing about YouTube is that you can tell where your traffic comes from using the "insight" feature.

If you want to post more than one ad in a different area, you have to re-word each one so they are a bit different. Otherwise, they consider it spamming the craigslist with too much of the same thing. I'm glad they do that because it's annoying to see the same business advertisements on YouTube hogging the first 2 pages of a search and all of the silly thumbnails look exactly the same.

All you have to do is google craigslist, then once you get to the website, look to the right and you should see countries, etc. Pick Canada, then your province (we call them states). From that, there may even be sub-areas of towns/cities and so forth. There is a link to their "help" area and forums too in case you can't figure it out right away. It will take you a little poking around. But if you can figure out Producer keyframing, you can figure out craigslist! It's a lot easier! LOL
