I cannot upload

Postby Latimer » Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:15 pm

I uploaded 3 shows this month without any problems and suddenly yesterday I tried to upload the next one and I can`t both from the PSP and from the site. I can`t connect with the site. If any of you have or had similar problems, please help.

Can you log into the sharing site (verifying you can get through
the network to the site?) There was a problem a couple of days
back where there was a bunch of IP's blocked from getting to this
forum, but I don't think it affected the Photodex sharing site.
Is your firewall turned on ? (or are you running something like
Zone Alarm?) - either of those can block you from uploading.

I just uploaded a short show about 10 minutes ago and it worked
fine for me, so at least during that "window", things were working :D

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Thank you Mickey. I can log and I turned off Windows firewall. I do not use anything new. Two weeks ago I uploaded shows with the same configuration. I do not know what is happening now.

It was one of those highly technical things that we usually call
the "Sunday Morning bit" where there is no obvious reason - it
worked before, and it works after, but for some reason, it didn't
work for a while :D

It is the perversity of technical objects. Thanks again Mikey

There is also another portion of the computer I should mention -- it is
called the "crisis detection circuit" (they all have it). The more pressure
you are under to get something done, the less likely it is to work as
expected as the deadline approaches

That particular circuit was invented years ago for Xerox machines but adapted immediately for use in PCs as soon as they came along. The only part of the computer not known to ever fail. 8)
