Not off hand, (probably the term you are seeing is "lead in and lead out").
Try creating an ISO and use imgburn (FREE) to burn it and see how that
works. I have not heard of a burner going bad where it can't burn the
leadin/leadout, but that is a possibility. See what happens with the ISO -> imgburn
method and we can go from there. (that is the way I always do it - I don't
think I have ever burned a DVD from Proshow - I have seen too many
people with problems - the ISO also has other advantages too !! )

I have this problem from time to time.
I just close the show, sometime re-start the puter, and try again.
It will usually work for a few days after that.....

I've had that problem as well. Usually clears after about two minutes and all is well. (Seems like two minutes, but could be less or more)

The quick answer is "Tuesday" -- while there are some real junk
disks out there, finding the "best" can be very complicated since
there seems to be a combination of the media, which burner you
are using (different burners seem to like different brands etc).

water up a bit ...

My personal favorite has been the Taiyo Yuden 8x Premium -R
(I have yet to have a failure in several hundred+ disks), however
others have had good results with other brands as well.
