Trying to "Share Show"

Postby HunnyB » Fri Aug 10, 2007 8:31 am

I am on Satt. high speed. I am following all the instrutions for uploading a show
to my account on Photodex.com. It all acts right BUT IS TAKING FOR-EVER TO UPLOAD!!!!!!!!
I mean FOR-EVER. 5% is taking 10 minutes.
What am I doing wrong.
Should I upload from Photodex.com
or from my show in Producer ( I am using 3.0 vers.1967).

I finally got the nerve to post a show, now I can't get it to work........

Also, when sending --- does it send only the images that I USED in the show?
The show is 3 minutes long. The .pxc file is showing 27.1MB.

THANKS :P

Hi there -- as far as what it uploads, it uploads a copy of yourshowname.px
(the same file you would download to watch). On XP, if you look in the temp dir
C:\Documents and Settings\Mikey\Local Settings\Temp (change my name obviously),
you will find a copy of the px file that it uploaded - it creates it there first then
uploads (and when it is uploading it will tell you the name of the file that it is
uploading). You can also see the size of the file at that point. I have not tried
uploading anything this morning, but things were getting lost somewhere
yesterday -- I suspect they upload to one machine, scan for junk then transfer
to the real destination directory where the rest of your stuff is there. My suspicion
is that the second part, the transfer from the "inbox" to where it belongs was what
was broken.

Can't be "full moon" -- it's only 6% of full today. So, I thought maybe it's an "age of Aquarius" thing, but no, this is "Leo". So I'm betting it was the recent launch of the Space Shuttle that tilted the earth a bit and disrupted the PhotoDex server.

I've been having problems, too. But this morning everything seems to be working fine.
