Can't get the first slide to be a picture from file rather than a random slide from show. I have go into the show settings and selected picture from file and add it there. When I go into the burning of the show it shows up in both side of the screen at the top. But when I burn DVD or ISO it reverts to a slide from the show. Is there somewhere I'm not checking?

Hmmm - this is two in a row that are not making sense to me ... perhaps
my brain needs to be rebooted :D

One thing that comes to mind that I have run into in the past is the
temp file (showname.pxc NOT the .psh file) gets corrupted and odd
things happen. Try exiting producer, deleting the showname.pxc
file then restart producer -- it will take it a minute to rebuild that temp
file. See if that fixes the issue. I have had some strange issues with
things in the past with the first and last slide not doing exactly as
expected, so what I usually do is have a 1 second black slide on the
front and the back with a short transition into/out of it. That has
fixed things a couple of times for me.

Do you have 'Use video thumbnails' checked on the menu settings? If you do it could cause this behavior.

Ah, very good Barbara -- I had forgotten about that feature
since I never use it.

I click that check mark off and erased the file and it works fine. Thank you so much for the help!

I'm glad you found the answer to your question, but now I have one along the same line. I uploaded a show to photodex. The picture that I chose to represent it is not the one being displayed. I purposely chose this picture and unchecked the box you spoke of earlier. It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but now I'm kind of wondering....hmmm!

Your comments would be greatly welcomed.

Question

Postby rufone419 » Fri Aug 10, 2007 4:37 pm

Scott:

Did you erase the old show like Mikey said?

I had not erased the show because I had just loaded it onto the photodex site. That is were I noticed that the photo that I had chosen was not the photo presented. I checked it again and everything was correct. :? dunno.

Lest others get confused, it was the temp file showname.pxc
that should be deleted and rebuilt, NOT the show file "showname.psh"
Deleting the temp file is a non-problem, deleting the showname.psh
IS a problem !!
