Using Producers DVD menu templates

Postby Rik 101 » Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:35 am

Hello All.
Have had a quick look through the forum for answers to this but nothing popped up straight away so my apologies if it's been answered elsewhere.
I'm having trouble using the menu template's. If ther is an answer already I would appreciate a pointer to the right place =)

Currently I have been either rendering the show as an uncompressed avi. and using Premiere Elements to menu it in or using Producer to just burn a dvd with no menu's so don't have a major crisis but are just wondering if someone may have a solution as to why when i choose a menu template it all starts fine but then after rendering goes past the menu creation window. Producer terminates the process.

Also is there a way to make an Exe. show or email one that doesn't require the recipient to install Presenter,

Thanks in anticipation

oops i forgot to say thanks Brian for you thoughts in an earlier post.
I have tried deleting the first slides up to No.6.
i also Removed any movi files and dropped the soundtracts but still no change. The weird thing is that the show works just fine without using the Menu option.
Im just getting used to Producers quirks (AND FRUSTRATIONS) lol.

Regards Rick.

Rick, there's a button at the top Right hand corner of the toolbar called "Executable." select it and it works just like creating a DVD. It's stand-alone *.exe so knowone will need the presenter plugin.

What verison of Producer are you running? See below. 3.0 1967 came out 2 days after 1966. Your problem maybe rectifited by updating to 3.0 1967. The 1966 build had mention of many menu issues which should also be fixed in 1967.

Here's the link to the revisions page for producer for your future viewing pleasure. I've found that Photodex first line tech support not to be very useful.

Hmmmmmmm. I've seen the upgrade but also read the posts about it. So not sure if I wanted to try it yet as everything else is working fine.
Thanks for the post about an exe. I had just assumed that these still required a viewer to download the Presenter software for viewing.
Havn't tried it on another computer so will do so.

Cheers

Build 1966 was a problem. I downloaded and upgraded 1977 and I've had no issues.

Hmm - looks like Scooter is way ahead of the rest of us - latest
version we know of is 1967, but he says he has no problem with "1977" - that
explains why no problem :D :D :D

HAHAHA! Good one Mikey!

I actually ran to the photodex site to find 1977....and started to believe there was a secret club I wasnt invited to.

Funny how a teensy typo can start a conspiracy theory!
