worked fine yesterday - now started crashing - pls help

Postby ck76 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 2:25 am

Sons wedding in 2 days, video was almost finished, did a trial CD burn 2 days ago, worked fine. Now, I can't even play two of my five shows in my "project". (the Other 3 still work, but, I need all five to complete the 15 minute video.

One problem is that I collected some files to a wrong directory, and then collected them again to the common directory file that I am trying to use for all 5 shows (30-40 slides in each show).

I have two song tracks that stopped working. The name appears in the audio track line, but no wave form. It says I have no missing files. I have tried deleting and re-adding the song, but it goes back to the same problem. If I try to play the pictures over the part with the missing waveforms, it crashes.

I just saw the post about deleting the pxc files and also maybe the cpic.opt and def.phd files. I will try. Any other ideas???

I would edit the the show file in a text editor (i.e. Notepad) and check if path directories are mentioning the correct locations of your source files.

CK

I would first go with your last paragraph on the file deletions, then post back as to how you got on. DO NOT delete your .psh file.

Couple of things to try here that come to mind ...

0) should have started here -- make a backup copy of your
showname.psh (just copy it in windows and paste it to a new
name to make sure what you have right now still exists).

1) try deleting the showname.pxc (NOT the .psh file) -- the pxc file
is a temp file that photodex builds for all sorts of stuff. I have had
that get corrupted and very strange things start happening.

2) try deleting one of the songs that it shows but does not show
the waveform for and re-inserting it again - does that fix it for that
song ??

Give those a shot and let us know where it goes.

I deleted the pcx files and the def file and so far it looks that has solved my problem. Thanks for your fast responses.

Pleased to hear that he problem may be over.

Why is they always occur inversely proportional to the time you have to right them?
