4.3 to widescreen
hi guys just purchased a widescreen tv....i set all the settings in PP to 16.9......but everything looks squashed on playing on the tv...where am i going wrong ? so the pictures dont look squashed and stretched....ps wasted 5 discs upto now...will wait for your advice guys thanks....cheers and beers all
Brian will probably answer this for you but as for the discs I use a re writable until I am happy with the product. Saves me having coasters.... Cheers Jan

Barbara has given the answer I would have given.
Although you have a 16:9 TV remember your camera is shooting in, probably, 4:3 still (say 1600x1200 pixels for a 2Mp). Therefore your picture in a 'fit to frame' will have black bars at left and right. If you want to fill the screen without distortion the pictures will have to be cropped in a 16:9 ratio.
One of the big advantages of 16:9 is placing two portrait pictures side by side and cross fading.
