DVD burning issues
Hi Everyone, I am new to this post so i hope i am in the right place.
I too have been having issues with burning shows to DVD's. I have Windows XP Professional and have Pspro 3.0 1942 Build.
I contacted Photodex support - and this was their advice so far.
They advised to Uninstall Proshow Producer 30 1942.
Then install Pspro 30 1907 Build.
To check if both shows worked well in this version. And yes they both worked well.
Now i had to Uninstall Pspro 30 1907.
And to reinstall Pspro 30 1942.
To delete all .pxc files.
To delete .psdata files.
To delete DEF.PHD files.
Then had to open Pspro 30 1942.
Open both shows and to check if both still worked well. And they both did.
Go to DVD Disc menu.
and use the following DVD options advised by Photodex and that the DVD should now burn.
Menu - Uncheck Video Thumnails.
Shows - Uncheck Intro Show
Output Options - DVD type to choose DVD SP
Encoding - Normal Quality
Disc Burning - uncheck Original show Files on DVD
Disc Burning - uncheck Generate Disc Image on Fly
Speed - from Max down to 4X
PC Autorun - unchecked
and CREATE
Anyhow both shows loaded up well.
Rendering Video for 1st show completed 100%
Rendering Video for 2nd show FROZE AND ALWAYS DOES at 96% of the way.
Then I have to close the Proshow as it wont budge from here.
Could somebody help with some suggestions from here.
Also i have read about creating an ISO to computer and burn shows from Nero thats what I have here.
Will someone please explain the actual procedure for this for me - thanks lots.

When you are ready to create your ISO file click the DVD DISK icon at the top.
A window opens. Set your menus how you want and anything else you need to do.
To create the ISO click the Disk Burning icon at the left of the window.
At the top of the window you will see DVD Writer: in the drop down list you will see your burner(s) selection and there is a selection named ISO Image File. Select it. When you click Create at the bottom of the window your ISO file will be created to a place you select. Just remember where that file is and when you open NERO simply select Burn Image to Disk and your ISO file should burn to DVD.
I would practice on a R/W disk so as not to waste regular write only DVD's

I work for a program called Sea Launch -- we launch
mid size rockets with satellites from a converted oil rig
in the middle of the ocean. One of our manager has this
great picture of one of the rockets just lifting off in his
office -- he always has the picture upside down though since
he is from "down under" (and the sign over his door says
"Australia"). We all laugh about it. I would love to get
"down under" some day. Don't know if I'll make it, but
it is on my dream list.

I have the same problems as you were describing.
Sometimes it works right, sometimes it does not.
For a long time I thought it was my computer until I found this forum.
I am going to try what Ben said, since I am using Nero too.

Hi HunnyB
Yes in the end wherever it was freezing through the burn process that I would delete a number of slides in that area. Bring one slide back - go through the burning process to determine if it would finish it or not - and continue to do so with all the other slides one at a time till i found out which one was the culprit. So hopefully this could be one of your problems anyway and good luck.
