AVI file not working right

Postby LadyCat1947 » Fri Jul 20, 2007 6:53 pm

I just bought an avi file from www.choicebackgrounds.com called Curtain Open and isn't working right. The curtain moves just a little bit but doesn't open. The curtain opened in other programs, just not in Producer.

Thank you in advance:-)

Just email them. Vidqueen will make sure it happens. She is the best, and knows exactly what needs to happen. I would help, but don't use that particular one. Cheers Jan

It's the slide time

Postby VidQueen » Sat Jul 21, 2007 5:38 am

Hi Cat,

I think someone else had that problem before, too....I'm trying to remember what the problem was. I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) you probably have the slide time set too short. The curtain open is a 12 second animation; and the curtain opens at the very end. You can make it open at any early point in time, though.....

I made a quick little video tutorial to show you how to fix this :)

I just love support that has answered your questions before you
even get a chance to "officially" ask them !!

Sort of the opposite of Symantec or Ulead !!

Way to go Jen !

Thanks Mikey :)

It certainly helps when you're business teeeny tiiiinnny, like mine. I'm not exactly flooded with support calls 24/7
As soon as I get big enough to hire my first employee, I'm sure customer service will start to suffer

I did what you suggested and I got the curtain to open!!! <g> Now I just have to figure out how to make it open on the slide I want, Right now the curtain is on one slide and when play it, it opens over the next slide...sheesh <g> Oh and i still need to get the captioning under the curtain <g> I guess I need to tweak the layers or something <g>

I loved your tutorial, I didn't even know about the trim video feature:-) Wowser, thank you so much!!!:-)
