editing slides

I have a downloaded show, which you can use and add or substitute your images for the ones used in the
download. I have done several of these. The one giving me trouble loads and runs fine. When I try to
open a slide to alter,adapt or change some part of the slide.(changing layer settings etc.) I keep getting
a flashing" loading" message. I have checked with the originator and they say their settings are OK. I have had
proshow techs. work on my desktop and they can not resolve or arrive at an answer. Has anyone else had
a similar problem and what was your final solution?

I am running windows 7 home premium
proshow producer 7
