How to get 'open url' at end of slied to work
I added to the end of my slide/movie a website I would like it to forward to. It works fine until I put it on Youtube. How can I get it to work on Youtube??
Re: How to get 'open url' at end of slied to work
The show that is uploaded to YouTube is a video file - a movie.
Links don't work in video files. They only work in an executable file, on your computer.

Mona is correct, there isn't a way to add it to your YouTube file itself because of the format. However there is a workaround by adding a clickable annotation. Click edit video, then annotation button to start the process.
This is an older video which shows an older YouTube UI but will probably give you enough info to work through it and accomplish what you're looking to do. The essential info starts about 1:35 min into the video.

Thanks Debbie,
I forgot that YouTube itself has some editing functions too. I didn't know that annotations can be used for clickable links. Something I should try, one of these days.

I've never used the annotation function, but at least it's doable.

Here's an entire page with Google's instructions for using annotations:

Looks like something that would be, at the very least, fun to play around with, but it could also be very useful.
