Show won't open

Postby anian25 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 5:11 am

Hi First Post here...

I have updated my Proshow Producer to the latest version, deleted .cfg and .phd files, deleted the .pxc file and even tried to open from the backups and I still can't get my show to open. It shows as opening and gets to 71% and then the show doesn't open. None of the backups open either.

Please help

Can you open any other show that you created with previous versions? Have you tried?

You mentioned installing styles...
Please try the following:
Open a new show and insert a blank slide.
Try to apply a style (any style) in that blank slide.
Is Producer going through the motion of catching styles, or does it act normally?

Do the same thing for transitions.
In that same blank show, try to change the default A/B transition to something else.
Do you see anything strange?

In a blank show?
A blank show means an empty show, without any pictures.

Have you tried to apply a style to an empty slide?

Do you have some kind of video in that show?
Or, transitions that are based on video?

Do you still have your older version of Producer, or did you install this version on top of it?
If you still have your older version, it would be interesting to see if it can open this show.

The "Love and Hearts" style that comes with the program?
There is nothing in that style to cause Producer to stop functioning. It's a style that uses png files.
Why do you think that that's the problem?

It's not I am saying that I don't have any video transitions just that style for the beginning all the rest is regular slide styles and transitions. I tried removing the audio files from the folder where the show resides and that didn't do anything either.
