Yellow/orange shimmers play back white

Hi.

I have a video that has text with a fire look inside the letters, and embers floating around.

VIdeo build:
DVD TYpe: DVD HQ (High Quality - Safe)
720x480 MPEG II
Framerate 29.97fps
Encoding Quality - High Quality
Color - Tried both turning off the Use Color Profile For Video option
and
Turning it on, using the AdobeRGB1998 profile

Playback on the computer, Youtube, etc everything looks fine. Letters/embers are the right shades of yellow, orange through light reds.

Playback the DVD on my BlueRay player all looks fine.

However, if I play the DVD on either my inexpensive Toshiba DVD player, or my high end Meridian DVD player, the letters and embers are white. Some effects with the text almost look like the white is blown out.

Same build method - just different players.

Any ideas? I anticipate my customer will not have a BlueRay player.
