Uploading to YouTube

Postby monicakm » Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:34 am

I made a small slide show (3 photos and one short mp4 movie) to test this new feature. I have a Youtube acct. According to PSG, the slide show uploaded but it didn't give me any insturctions on where to find it or what to do next. Read the help files and it didn't address this either. Went to my account on Youtube and says I have no videos uploaded. Would someone please tell me what to do after the program says I've uploaded the slide show?
Thank you,
Monica

Hmm. I've used the Upload feature twice without a hitch. I don't remember the exact steps/messages. I said Upload to YouTube, it wants your login information in Proshow, I then gave it a name etc and said upload.I guess it said it was done and I went to my account and OHHH, it takes about 15 minutes or so for it to show up because YouTube is encoding it. Now I don't remember if YouTube told me that or Proshow. I just did it wtih PSP 3.2 last week. The one other upload I did was using PSP 3.1 about 2 months ago. So I know it works. Try giving it a bad password just to make sure that you in fact have the right username/password. I would assume Proshow would give you an error that it can't login. If it can login then I would expect everything else to be fine.

rkligman, I'm trying it again. After I click on Create a Youtube slideshow, I get a screen that includes acct information but it wants YOUTUBE acct info, not Proshow information. I clicked on upload, it rendered the video, uploaded it and said upload sucessful. That's it. I tried uploading again but this time used a wrong password and it said "error logging in". My YouTube acct still says no videos. One was uploaded last night and one about 15 minutes ago.
Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Does Photodex have a user forum on their website? I looked but didn't see one.
Thanks,
Monica

I've never done anything in youtube except watch a few videos so I'm not familiar with it at all.
I just wanted to try the new PSG Youtube upload. Would use it to share PSG slide shows with friends and family
IF I can get it to work for me :)

Well I uploaded and it went quite smooth, my member name is nannybearshaw. didn't have a problem. I just downloaded the upgrade and it doesn't like my serial number so it thinks it is an evaluation! Some parts of the show have changed but will check it out tomorrow. Try again and let me know what happens. Cheers Jan

Well since I needed to upload more to YT anyway, I just did a YT upload. It logged in (which you have now confirmed that you ARE using your correct account) and started the Upload. I could see the progress. It got to 100% and then hung for about 30 seconds or so. It then popped up a screen that said, your show was uploaded successfully and gave me a link to view the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlhNAQkcDCE. If you aren't getting that final screen, that would seem to be a problem. I'm using PSP 3.2.2047 (the latest). If you aren't getting that final screen, you might also verify that it's not your YT account by trying to upload something manually.
