Pictures Shot In Wide Mode Leave Spaces On the Sides

Postby Bill McMahon » Mon Oct 15, 2007 9:01 am

I just loaded some pictures shot in "wide mode" into PSG. What I immediately notice it the image, as is, leaves the expected strips at the top and bottom of the frame, but I am also seeing strips on the left and right side. I am seeing this in the preview mode, I have not yet burned anything to a show/DVD.

The only way to get rid of these side strips is to enlarge my images by roughly 20-25%. These '"enlarged" images fit nicely into the preview frame in PSG. Is this normal with photos shot in WIDE mode or am I doing somethnog wrong?

Sounds like you are using "Fit to safe zone". Change to "fit to frame" and the sides will be filled. However if you're going to watch your show on TV you may want to leave it as is to avoid the sides being cut off.
